AJ was raised in a strict Christian sect, and after struggling for thirty years with many issues that contradicted the strict teachings of the church he finally broke free. This came with severe consequences, he not only lost his wife, children, job, house and car, he lost all his friends, family and social network.

The art was born out of anger and frustration at the severe lack of human compassion in the Church's behaviour towards him.

As the anger left him the art slowed down, and now the art has a happier tone, but still a sense of sadness and some frustration is evident
